Participate in the On The Moon Again Event from 12-13 July 2019!
1 May 2019

The On The Moon Again event invites everyone to observe the Moon on the 12th and 13th of July to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first human moon landing.

At this time, the moon will be in the waxing gibbous phase, thus offering the opportunity for quality observations after sunset. Activities are encouraged in high-traffic public areas to facilitate public engagement. Various equipment can be used for these observations, including binoculars and telescopes.

IAU100 and On the Moon Again collaboratively encourage all observation activities that are planned on these dates to officially register their events at the On the Moon Again website as well as the IAU100 Moon Landing 50 website. Participants and event planners can follow the global event by using #OnTheMoonAgain.
